She emphasized the significance of the partnership, saying, “This collaboration is a reflection of our shared dedication to promoting health, unity, and community spirit. We are excited to raise funds that will go towards improving orphanage facilities, study spaces, and hygiene, while also spreading the important values of kindness and respect through our ‘Buddy Not Bully’ initiative.” With a target of 300 participants , including children from orphanages, the charity run will channel proceeds to support these vital improvements, demonstrating how sports and charity can come together to make a positive impact.
YB Lee Fu Haw, member of Parliament for Klang, addressed the audience at the MoU signing ceremony held to formalise the partnership between JCI Bandar Klang and Monzo Events . This strategic collaboration marks a significant milestone for the Klang Royal City Marathon 2025 , which continues to grow in scope and social impact. Originally founded in 2023, the Klang Royal City Marathon has rapidly evolved into a major community sporting event. The 2025 edition will introduce Klang’s first full marathon , expanding its reach and offering runners of all levels a platform to challenge themselves and unite for a cause. A key component of the marathon this year is the JCI Bandar Klang 5KM Fun Run, organised in collaboration with JCI Bandar Klang . This initiative is not only about promoting a healthy lifestyle but also about fostering community spirit and compassion. The event aims to gather at least 300 participants , including children from orphanages and members of the public, to run together for a shared mission. In addition to the run, the organizers will conduct fundraising efforts to help improve the living environment of local orphanages—specifically by supporting beautification projects to create a more comfortable and inspiring home for the children. The event also proudly supports the “Buddy, Not Bully” campaign , which promotes anti-bullying values, kindness, inclusiveness, and respect among youth—a message that aligns closely with JCI’s mission and community-building ethos. As preparations move forward, this MoU marks the beginning of a collaborative journey focused on making Klang Royal City Marathon 2025 not just a race—but a movement for positive change. Ahli Parlimen Klang will give full support to this program.

Together, we aim to create a running experience that not only brings people together but also celebrates Klang as a vibrant city.” The initiative also seeks sponsorships and support from local businesses and companies , with the goal of raising funds for Klang’s orphanages while promoting health, unity, and community spirit . With a focus on kindness and inclusivity, the event will carry the theme “Buddy Not Bully” , spreading awareness of respect and positivity among the participants. “We are excited about the impact this partnership will have on the community, and we look forward to future collaborations that create lasting social change,” Mike added.
