1) By successfully signing up for the race, you have read and agreed to the following rules and regulations
pertaining to the event and to the participant’s assumption of risks, waiver, release, and indemnity form.

2) Footer Klang City Quarter Marathon (FKCQM) reserves the right to refuse entry to the event at its sole
discretion and without assigning any reason.

3) The age for participation in each race category is as follows:
13 years old and above for 5KM
16 years old and above for 10KM
** Underage participants must be accompanied by a running parent or guardian on the race day with their
consent.

4) Participants are strictly prohibited (not allowed) from transferring their assigned bib number illegally or
unlawfully for the event.

5) Participants must attach the assigned bib number on the front to be permitted entry to the event.
Participants failing to wear/display the assigned bib number correctly may be asked to retire immediately
from the race by an event official and/or security officer.

6) All age-group participants must compete in the age-group division corresponding to the participants’s age
on race day.

7) Participants consent to receiving necessary medical treatment during or after the event.

8) Participants shall acknowledge the importance of safety precautions and their responsibility to understand
and follow them.

9) Any participant asked to retire from the race by any member of the official medical staff, event director,
referee, event official, and/or security officer must do so immediately.

10) Any participant asked to retire from the race will be deemed disqualified and shall not be entitled to
receive a finisher medal, finisher e-certificate, and official finish time.

11) Any participant who starts to race before the official start time of their race category shall be disqualified.
Any participant who fails to start the race within the flag-off period of the official start time of their race
category shall be disqualified, and Footer Klang City Quarter Marathon (FKCQM) reserves the right not to
allow them to start.

12) The event cut-off times for completion of the race categories shall be:
2.30 hours for 10KM
2.30 hours for 5KM

13) Participants who are still on the race route after the cut-off time and choose to continue racing do so at
their own risk. Footer Klang City Quarter Marathon (FKCQM) reserves the right to re-open the race route to
live traffic at any time without prior notice to participants for operational reasons and/or to prevent
operational hazards and/or risks to participants and/or spectators and/or event staff. Footer Klang City
Quarter Marathon (FKCQM) shall not be liable for any loss and/or inconvenience caused by such actions. If an
event official has reason to believe a participant is unlikely to finish the race within the cut-off time, they may
request a participant to retire from the race and board a safety vehicle.

14) The following are strictly prohibited (not allowed) on the race route: pets, in-line skates, strollers, push
carts, shoes with built-in or attached rollers, and any other wheel-run objects. The exception to this rule is
official events and official medical vehicles.

15) Race results will be posted within 24 hours after the event. Race results are final. All results and rankings
are based on gun time. Any non-prize winner disputes must be submitted in writing to the organizer within 3
days of the results being published. Any prize winner disputes must be made within 30 minutes of the
winner’s results being published at the event. The organizer’s decision is final with regards to the handling of
prize winner disputes. The organizer reserves the right to request random doping tests from potential
winners.

16) All the medals, shirts, and e-certificates are currently in the proposed design stage and are subject to
further confirmation and finalization.

17) Participants who successfully complete the event shall be awarded a finisher medal upon presentation of
their race bib to the respective event officials. All finisher medals must be collected on-site at the event.
Participants who successfully complete the event within the cut-off time shall be entitled to download a
finisher e-certificate.

18) Footer Klang City Quarter Marathon (FKCQM) reserves the right to amend the race rules at its sole
discretion. If there is ambiguity in any of these provisions, Footer Klang City Quarter Marathon (FKCQM) shall
be the authority to interpret and in doing so, will take into account the interests of all the affected parties.

19) All participants must register online by providing their name, NRIC/Passport number, gender, contact
number, email address, and emergency contact details.

20) Upon successful registration, each participant will receive a confirmation slip via email. The confirmation
slip serves as the only valid evidence of registration. All participants are required to present their respective
confirmation slips and/or identity card and/or passports during race entry pack collection day.

21) Tampering with the race bib in any way (e.g. obscuring/removing the sponsor’s identification) will result
in your disqualification. Footer Klang City Quarter Marathon (FKCQM) shall immediately disqualify any
participants if this rule is not strictly observed.

22) A particpant is not allowed to be supported by any 3rd party or participant in the race, other than at the
water stations provided by Footer Klang City Quarter Marathon (FKCQM) along the course.

23) If you withdraw from the race, you must report to the closest checkpoint. This will ensure that you will be
safely removed from the race course and transported back to the race village.

24) Participants must be aware of the hazards involved such as risks of injury or death from various causes.

25) A participant must be appropriately trained and in good physical condition to compete in the event.

26) A participant shall release all individuals and organizations associated with the event from any liability for
injuries or damages and indemnify them against claims arising from participation.

27) Littering is prohibited.

28) Participants agree to the use of their name, image, and likeness for event promotion and the use of drones
for capturing event footage.

29) Participants are responsible for the security of their personal possessions.

30) Entry fees are non-refundable.

31) Participants agree to their name and contact details being included in the event database for promotional
purposes.

32) You must obey all instructions by race officials and any information signs and markers along the race
course.

33) Footer Klang City Quarter Marathon (FKCQM) reserves the right to discourage and/or penalize behavior
that is considered unsporting.

34) Footer Klang City Quarter Marathon (FKCQM) reserves the right to postpone or cancel or suspend the
race for any reason it deems fit to do so.
By participating in the event, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these rules and
regulations above
